Fixing the outline

Use Add to include a part we missed — an ear, an arm, a tail. Use Remove to cut away background we picked up by mistake.

Use Select area to draw a rectangle around the object, then press Crop. The picture is cut to that area and the outline is found again.

Hold Ctrl (⌘ on Mac) and drag to move the image

You can also drop a new image anywhere on the picture.

How big should it be?

Set the width you want your cutter to be. The height follows automatically.

Units

Width

Most cookie cutters are between 60 and 100 mm.

Height

Set the outline height; the cutter's 3D depth is separate.

Keep proportions

On: changing either size keeps the outline's proportions. Turn off to size dimensions independently.

Sizing tips

A cutter around 70–80 mm wide fits comfortably in most hands and on most baking sheets.

Bigger cutters are easier for dough with chunky add-ins like chocolate chips.

Measure a distance

Press the ruler button on the outline, click one point, then another. A line appears with its length in the middle. Press the ruler again or Esc to exit.

Units

Switch between millimeters and inches. Sizes and measurements convert automatically.

Cutter height

The cutter is 16 mm tall overall — deep enough to cut through rolled dough cleanly.
